S.M.A.C.K. (Streets, Music, Arts, Culture and Knowledge) started in 2002 as a New York street DVD: artist interviews, exclusives, and the freestyle battles that became its signature. Smack White later turned the battle segment into the Ultimate Rap League, the biggest battle-rap league in the world.
The battles that defined the era, Murda Mook vs Serius Jones above all, are now on URL’s own YouTube channel, which is where this page plays them from.
The Smack discs, Vol. 1 through the Eminem and D12 cover, are held in the Hood Box Office DVD archive, an independent preservation project of the Wendy Black Foundation. Nothing here is for sale.
